Edit An Orbiter carries a smaller vessel called a Landing Craft, which are the actual ships that deliver the Tenno into the combat zone. Rugged and dependable, Landing Craft are capable of travel in a variety of environments, including deep space, planetary atmospheres, and even through the ocean depths. A Tenno rides a Landing Craft by magnetically attaching to a covered passenger compartment by its underbelly, which flips them over inside so they are lying on their back when they deploy into the mission’s Insertion point by simply dropping down from it.
Landing Craft can also position themselves vertically on extraction points, where the Tenno can ride simply by stepping into the passenger compartment’s human-shaped recess, where they are secured before the Landing Craft can depart. Landing Craft can also carry heavy cargo like Fomorian Power Cores by using a tractor beam to attach objects to its underside.

Please try to read and don’t ruin this thread with off-topic comments. If you read carefully and then play WoT, you will notice the pattern yourselves. What is seen cannot be unseen. Net protecting it’s intellectual property mentioned in the patent and being used in World Of Tanks. But that raised the question: Can it’s content put some light on current game mechanics?
It revealed a mechanism of arranging players into battles , the so called Match Maker MM , putting the players in harder situations higher tier battles for the same tank if they win and in easier situations lower tier battles if they lose. Thus, when a player has been repeatedly put into too many difficult battles, the balancing is done in favor of easier battle sessions, thereby encouraging the player by providing an easier game environment. Similarly, when the player has been repeatedly put into too many easy battles, the balancing is done in favor of harder battle sessions, thereby keeping the player challenged instead of letting the player become bored with easy games.
Vehicles are selected according to the battle statistics within the last half hour. No other MM method has corespondents in the official version and in the patent at the same time using memory of past performance. Now, in short, what this MM method does:
Impressive, some improvements should be made. Super fun, great strategy involved, however there are some very rude players that cant handle defeat. Also, the matchmaking system often makes teams quite unfair, making one team almost guaranteed to win, while the other has almost no chance to win. Overall, the graphics are pretty good for a mobile game, and over time they are very much improving.
You sure know what tanks have the most influence on a battle.
First daily victory with the vehicle Coefficient of 2 No Exiting battle during loading screen or countdown No “Joining a battle” bonus. Exiting battle after countdown There is a penalty for XP earning, but only if the tank has not yet been destroyed. Also, if the tank was not destroyed before exiting, further XP can be earned passively while it remains on the battlefield, e. Credits as earned, there is no penalty. If the tank was not destroyed before exiting, further credits can be earned passively while it remains on the battlefield, e.
Team Damage inflicted Small penalty, supposedly twice the amount of XP you would receive for causing the same amount of damage to the enemy. Penalty to an amount of four times the repair costs required to fix the damage that was inflicted, limited by the total amount earned during battle. Team Damage received None. Half the repair costs required to fix the damage or a quarter of the penalty paid by the player s who caused the team damage, whichever is lower.
Issues with Matchmaking?
You’ll sure notice the issues. If you won’t then here is the main problem: Here’s the story from the previous topic Official MM feedback which was deleted:
It is a simple comparison of your penetration rating versus the target’s armour thickness along the normal at the aim point and does not take into account the impact angle , so even with a green penetration indicator your shot may still ricochet or fail to penetrate the target’s effective armour thickness.

The Tiger II has passable armor for a tier 8 heavy tank since almost the bulk of its armor is concentrated on the upper glacis and turret front. Other areas suffer from the armor being concentrated in two main locations as the other areas are relatively weak for a tier 8 heavy tank, especially on the sides and rear. Fortunately for the Tiger II it has decent gun depression allowing it to hide its lower glacis and making it difficult for many tier 8 and under tanks that it faces to penetrate it reliably.
This guide for World of Tanks Tiger II weak spots breaks down the Tiger II into many armor zones with different thicknesses and angles associated with them. The index at the bottom of each picture describes a few abbreviations used and also the format in which the armor details are described in. Effective Armor EA refers to the overall effectiveness of the armor without normalization.

The State of Matchmaking
Figuring out the influential spots, small cubbyholes, firing lanes, etc. World of Tanks is primarily knowing maps very well and which areas are beneficial to you and which areas will result in you being torn to shreds. Abbey Abbey is a smaller map that is decided very quickly which team will have the upper hand. This map has 3 key locations located in the center of the map that are crucial to obtaining map control but at the same time require one another to prevent being flanked.
By Tier 4 in Warplanes, I kind of felt like I’d seen everything there was to see – dogfighting with faster and more lethal planes isn’t THAT different from dogfighting with worse ones.
Matchmaking Matchmaking The composition of tanks in each team is a task of matchmaker. It works in following manner. It takes one tank from the queue and looks at his tier. For example it is IS – russian heavy with tier 7. The matchmaker takes the corresponding line from the table below and sees that the IS has battle tiers from 7 till 9. Randomly is the tier for battle selected.
In our example let it be 8 from 7 to 9 incl. The matchmaker takes tanks from queue, which can participate in tier 8 battles see column number 8 in the table and puts them in 2 teams.
Matchmaking mechanism explained
With potential clip damage and only 11 seconds required to unload it, pairing the sufficient penetration of , the tank could simply decimate any tier 7 or 8 tank, and shave off over half the health of tier 9 and some tier 10 tanks. This tank was pushed back to tier 8 with the patch 7. The autoloading 76 mm T91E5 gun it used to have? With 10 rounds, potential damage and 18 seconds to unload? The most common strategy with the autoloader was to simply wait for flanking opportunities, engaging sole tanks or tanks you know you could defeat without taking much damage.
If an artillery vehicle isn’t aimed at a specific enemy, pressing the “Attacking” button “T” by default will mark the approximate area the artillery vehicle is aiming towards.
There was just one major battleship clash in World War I which ultimately proved indecisive and America’s entry into World War II came at the exact moment carriers rendered the battleship obsolete. Fortunately for fans of these undeniably cool floating weapons platforms, Wargaming. Carriers can still rain death from above with bombers, but they’re trapped in a naval cage match where carriers, cruisers, battleships, and destroyers all have distinct and important roles to play in its free-to-play 12v12 multiplayer fleet battles.
The heart of World of Warships is gunnery. I’ve probably spent over half my time in Warships looking at distant warships through zoomed-in gunsights. Fortunately, shooting in this game is a lot more demanding than in your typical first-person shooter, or even Wargaming’s own World of Tanks or World of Warplanes, and involves a whole bunch of skills and instincts. Early warships are deceptively simple, as they shoot each other from a few kilometers apart, and it often seems like combat boils down to simply leading you target a little bit and pulling the trigger.
But by the time you’re playing around with your first battleships, gunnery requires a mix of aim, mathematics, geometry, and attempted telepathy. Meanwhile, those shots can take something like five to 10 seconds to reach their target. An enemy warship can cover an awful lot of ground in that time, and it can maneuver to avoid incoming fire, so you have to not only figure out where your shots will land in relation to the enemy vessel, but also read what the enemy captain is going to do when he sees you fire.
